Description
Since foundation models can be used for many purposes, a model’s intended use is important for defining the relevant risks of that model. As the use changes, the relevant risks might correspondingly change.
Why is incomplete usage definition a concern for foundation models?
It might be difficult to accurately determine and mitigate the relevant risks for a model when its intended use is insufficiently specified. Such as how a model is going to be used, where it is going to be used and what it is going to be used for.
