Managing relationships in a catalog
You can add relationships for assets, governance artifacts, and columns in the same catalog or in different catalogs, projects, or deployment spaces.
Required permissions
To add or remove a relationship, you must have the required permissions on both the source and the target of the relationship.

Adding asset relationships
To add a relationship between assets:

On the Overview page of an asset, click Add asset in the Related assets section.
Projects and spaces are now archived after 90 days of inactivity to preserve resources. To work with such projects or spaces again, unarchive them by opening them on the project or space page. Depending on the size of the project or space, unarchiving might take a varied amount of time.

Select the type of relationship to add and click Next. You can select a predefined relationship or any custom relationship.

Select one or more target assets and click Add. You can filter the assets by workspace or asset type and search for assets by name.

Deleting relationships from assets
To delete a relationship:
- On the Overview page of an asset, click remove icon next to the relationship in the Relationships section.
- Click Delete.

Adding column relationships
To add a column relationship, click a column row in the Overview page. In the side pane, click the three dots beside the Related items section. To add a relationship, click Add related columns.
Creating custom relationship types
You can create custom types of relationships for assets and then assign your custom relationships to assets or governance artifacts in the catalog. Custom relationships appear in the list of relationships that you see when you add a relationship in the Related items section of the asset's Overview page.
